For a long time, the popular messaging platform WhatsApp has been working on multiple functions. It has launched the “view once” function of disappearing photos and videos, and has been developing new features such as multi-device support and encrypted backup. Currently, WhatsApp is adding support for the latest emojis in the beta version of its Android application.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, the messaging app owned by Facebook will now support the latest emoji, which can basically help Android users view the latest emoji sent by another Apple iOS user. Apple has released iOS 14.5, which includes new emojis. Emojis include a burning heart, an exhaling face, and more emojis. This one has not been released yet.

Therefore, it is important to note that Apple iPhone users who have updated to iOS 14.5 are able to send 217 new emojis from the keyboard via WhatsApp, thanks to the system-wide emoji support. But these emojis will not be discovered by any Android users, because even Android 11 users do not support these emojis. WhatsApp has now proposed an update that will eventually display the images in the correct way.

There have been reports in April that Apple has provided support for three major types of emoji. The first one consists of a face in the clouds of exhalation (or sigh) and a face with spiral eyes. The second group has two new heart-shaped variants-a burning heart emoji and a “patched heart” emoji, and the third group supports many different new emoji and gender combinations.

The report shows that users who have updated the Android version of WhatsApp 2.21.16.10 beta can easily view all the new emoji sent by iOS users. Imagine that they can also send these emojis from the in-app emoji selector, but not from their emoji keyboard. With the upcoming Android 12, these emojis will be supported system-wide.
