Prime Minister Imran Khan stated that political reconciliation is the only solution to the Afghan issue because the United States has failed to seek a military solution to the conflict.

In an interview with US media, he stated that Pakistan is a partner for peace and cannot be part of the dispute. He made it clear that there is no military solution to the Afghanistan issue.

Khan stated that Pakistan played a key role as a facilitator to bring the Taliban and the United States to the negotiating table.

He said that any form of unrest and anarchy in Afghanistan will directly affect Pakistan, and Pakistan will face multiple problems.

Imran Khan said that the current government has reinvigorated the national economy through hard work, and now it can no longer bear the burden of more Afghan refugees. The rebellion in Afghanistan will force more Afghans to flock to Pakistan, but we cannot accept more refugees, Prime Minister Khan made it clear.

He said that there is a 1,500-kilometer-long border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, and Pakistan has invested heavily for the first time along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border fence. “90% of the work has been completed.”

The Prime Minister stated that Pakistan has nothing to do with the 9/11 and New York incidents because no Pakistani nationals participated in the 9/11 incidents, but the country suffered a lot of losses after the incident.

In response to a question about the election in Afghanistan, Imran Khan said that Afghan President Ashraf Ghani should postpone the election because it will provide the Taliban with an opportunity to participate in the political process.

Prime Minister Imran Khan clarified his comments on the rape crisis in an interview. He said his comments were taken out of context and said that anyone who commits rape should be fully responsible for the crime.

“The person who commits the rape should be fully responsible for the crime; the victim is never responsible”, Prime Minister Imran Khan clearly expressed his views on sexual crimes. He also claimed that he deliberately took out of context in an interview a few weeks ago.

He said that I used the word “Pardah” in the interview and added that “Pardah” can reduce temptation. He said that “Pardah” is not limited to women, but also applies to men.
