Pakistan on Wednesday rejected an Indian official’s statement that Islamabad’s involvement in the Indian Air Force Base at Jammu Airport cannot be ruled out.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically rejected the “irresponsible and misleading statement” in a statement because Indian Interior Minister G Kishan Reddy chose not to share any evidence in this regard.

The statement said: “The Indian government once again filed serious accusations against Pakistan. This is another manifestation of the unconfirmed propaganda and smear activities carried out by the Indian government and the Indian media against Pakistan.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this is a strategy familiar to the Indians, externalizing any accusations, using baseless accusations against Pakistan as a smokescreen, and trying to sabotage the indigenous struggle of the Kashmiri people for self-determination.

The statement emphasized that the latest allegations further confirmed Pakistan’s consistent BJP government’s false flag operation to slander Pakistan on terrorism-related accusations in order to obtain narrow political benefits.

The use of the Pakistan card either to win an election or to divert attention from an electoral defeat has also, unfortunately, become standard practice, it noted.

“Pakistan calls on India not to carry out propaganda activities that should be condemned, because no amount of Indian lies can divert attention from the serious crimes committed by India in India. [India-occupied Kashmir],” it says.

The minister said in a conversation with ANI a day ago that the incident is being investigated, but “Pakistan’s role in the attack cannot be denied”.

“Except for sponsored violence from Pakistan, Jammu and Kashmir is completely peaceful,” he said.

According to many media reports in India, two explosions occurred at the Indian Air Force Base at Jammu Airport in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The report quoted the Indian police as saying that according to Indian media reports, the explosion was caused by a drone, and another improvised explosive device that could be used to launch an attack in a “crowded place” was thwarted.

According to the report, one of the bombs destroyed the roof of a building of the technical department, while the other exploded in an open area.
