Conrad’s career

Conrad was born in Florida, moved to Spain at the age of 10 and joined Barcelona. The winger was then promoted in La Masia and became one of the club’s most promising young rookies.

Although he has dual citizenship of Spain and the United States, Conrad chose to play for the United States at the international level and represent the country at various youth levels.

In November 2020, the winger made his first appearance for USMNT in a friendly against Wales.

As his contract with Barcelona will expire next summer, the teenager chose to permanently transfer to France, where he will seek more regular senior club playing time.

USMNT forward Timothy Weah also played for France’s Ligue 1, helping Lille win the league championship in the most recent season. Other famous American national team players who gnash their teeth in France include Jordan Sibaggio (Rennes), Alejandro Bedoya (Nantes), Carlos Bocanegra (Rennes), Charlie David Si (Sochaux) and current Los Angeles Galaxy coach Greg Varney (Bastia).
