A judicial judge extended the remand period of Zahir Jaffer, the main suspect in the murder of Noor Mukadam, until Monday, August 30. They were taken to the courtroom from Adiala prison.
Six employees of Therapy Works, a counseling and psychotherapy center in Islamabad, were also arrested by the police. They will appear in the Islamabad court because the police will also seek to extend their remand period.
After being certified by the center, Jaffer worked as a psychotherapist at Therapy Works.
Six employees of Therapy Works are accused of concealing evidence after meeting Zahir Jaffer’s father, Zakir Jaffer. They were named by the plaintiff in the supplementary statement submitted to the court.
Shortly after the news of Noor Mukadam’s murder and Zahir Jaffer’s employment as a therapist there came to light, Therapy Works issued the following statement:
“Zahir Jaffer was registered as a UK Level 3 student from September 2015 to September 2016. Since then, he joined UK Level 4 from October 2016 to June 2018. He did not complete the course and international thesis, so he has never been accepted Give permission to see customers.”
However, a now-deleted post by Therapy Works on its Instagram page introduced Zahir Jaffer, one of the centre’s five-tier candidates in the UK.
