UHS Lahore announces first-year BDS results

Lahore: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) announced on Friday the results of the first professional BDS annual examination in 2020.
The first annual Beidou professional exam in 2020 will be held from March to April 2021.
A total of 983 students took the exam. Of the total number of students who took the exam, 586 students passed the exam, while 393 students failed.
The first place was awarded to Raheen Pasha from the Multan School of Medicine and Dentistry, Multan, who scored 618 out of 700 points.
The second and third place were Ujala Mehdi with 598 points and Maleeha Zamir with 597 points. Mehdi is affiliated with the de’Montmorency School of Dentistry in Lahore, while Zamir studied at the FMH School of Medicine and Dentistry in Lahore.
The grades of four students were withheld.
The university stated that the overall pass rate for BDS first-year students was 59.86%, and added that in the UHS Lahore University list, the highest pass rate is Lahore’s Akhter Saeed School of Medicine and School of Dentistry.
Thirteen students achieved excellent results in anatomy (including histology), 11 in physiology, 5 in oral biology and tooth morphology, but not in biochemistry.
UHS Lahore announced that candidates who fail the exam should submit their admission form on or before August 9, 2021, and pay double the fee by August 16.
The supplementary exam is scheduled to start on August 31, 2021.
