Treyang injury update: Will the Hawks star play in the fourth game against the Bucks?

The Eagles suffered an injury panic in Game 3 of their loss to the Bucks on Sunday when Tre Young fell to the ground.

Yang suffered a significant foot injury at the end of the third quarter. After turning the ball over, he took a step back and his foot landed on the referee’s. After that, you can see in the video below that his ankle is a bit twisted.

Yang returned to the game, but his state in Game 4 of the series was uncertain.

Will Trae Young play against the Bucks in Game 4?

The Athletic’s Chris Kirschner reported that Young’s MRI showed that the Atlanta star had a bone contusion on his right foot. This makes his state in the game on Tuesday night doubtful.

On Sunday night, Yang’s ankle injury did not prevent him from participating in the game for a long time. He went to the locker room to check the injury, but only missed a few minutes of game time. However, he admitted that he was “a little sore” when he returned to the floor.

“I’m back, it hurts a bit, and… I really can’t be as fast as I thought, and when I do it, it hurts,” he told reporters.

That comment did little to clarify his suspicious status. Even if he does play, he may not reach 100%. When he didn’t reach 100% in the last game, he was under par because he shot 1 of 4 from the field and only scored 3 points in the fourth quarter.

During the playoffs, Yang averaged 29.8 points, 9.5 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game for the Hawks. There is no doubt that if he does not play, Atlanta will be in serious shortage because they hope to tie the score in the home game against Milwaukee.
