Pat Beverley’s antics appeared in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals, this time at the expense of Suns point guard Chris Paul.
Beverly-Who Has History Withdraw from the playoffs due to a foul -Go through Deandre Ayton’s screen and make contact with Paul’s leg, who tries to make a three-pointer. The contact made Paul parallel to the court in the air and then landed on Beverly’s ankle. Neither player was injured, although Beverly was convicted of a malicious foul.
The Clippers guard apparently did not consider this call and mocked Paul on the court:

Paul made all three free throws and then assisted in Ayton’s air relay, rewriting the score to 71-67 with 5:36 left in the third quarter. But before that, Beverley walked behind Paul and told him “the way to sell it” before taking the free throw:
Strangely, Monday’s game was not the first time Beverley was assessed as a flagrant foul against Paul this season. He was expelled from the team’s April 9th game — the Clippers won 113-103 — because he threw an elbow at Paul during the fourth quarter transition:
Paul ended the game with 8 of 19 shots, 22 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists, losing 116-102. Beverley had 7 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist.
Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals will be held in Los Angeles at 9pm on Wednesday night.
