Rawalpindi: According to an ISPR press release, Saudi General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili praised the professionalism of the Pakistani armed forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
The Saudi general “praised the high professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged that they are in [the] Fight against terrorism,” the press release said.
The Chairman of JCSC thanked General Al-Ruwaili for his gratitude to the Pakistani army for its achievements, sacrifices and contribution to regional peace and stability in the war on terrorism.
General Fayez bin Hamid Rwali, Chief of General Staff of Saudi Arabia, visited General Nadim Raza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the headquarters of the Joint Staff.
During the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed measures to increase the level and scope of military contacts between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
General Al-Ruwaili and the chairman of JCSC agreed that the two countries have a history of “friendly relations” and “deep brotherhood”, and they are transforming into a “lasting partnership”.
The Saudi and Pakistani generals reviewed areas of common interest, counter-terrorism, and bilateral defense and security cooperation.
During the meeting, the current regional situation in Afghanistan and IIOJ&K were also discussed.
The JCSC chairman further stated that KSA and Pakistan share common views on domestic and international issues.
The Saudi general was also awarded the “honour guard” by the tri-service contingent upon arrival.
