Six-year-old girl was raped and killed in Karachi: Police

SSP Korangi Shahjahan Khan said that a six-year-old girl was raped and killed in Karachi after finding the girl’s body in a garbage bin in Karachi on Wednesday.
Police officials said that the doctor in the preliminary medical report found that the girl living in Corangi was raped before being murdered.
SSP Khan said that the girl came out of her house to play at 9 o’clock last night, but when she did not go home, her family reported the incident to the police at around 12 o’clock in the morning.
“At 6 o’clock this morning, the girl’s body was found in the garbage dump,” he said, adding that witnesses told the police that a rickshaw driver left the 6-year-old body there.
Child raped, neck broken: investigator
At the same time, investigators said that the child risked leaving her house after a power outage at night. “The girl’s father asked her to play in the alley outside.”
However, when she did not return after a while, the family began to look for her, the team said, adding that at 6 o’clock this morning, the girl’s body was found wrapped in a thick cushion.
Investigators said: “The body was found near an abandoned school and the ground where a drug addict was located.”
They said that the girl’s autopsy had been completed, showing that she was raped and her neck was broken.
According to investigators, the family has not yet registered the case.
“Another girl from Korangi has disappeared. She is said to have a mental disorder. We have already started looking for her,” they added.
The Governor of Sindh noticed
After news of the incident came out, Governor Sind Imran Ismail expressed his grief and asked AIG Karachi to submit a report as soon as possible.
The governor instructed the police to catch criminals as soon as possible, and emphasized that such incidents “are intolerable in a civilized society.”
Girl’s parents seek justice
The girl’s parents called on Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah to ensure that they receive justice.
“I appeal to the Chief Minister to let my daughter get justice,” said the 6-year-old’s father.
At the same time, the girl’s mother said: “My daughter went out to play, and when the electricity was restored, we started looking for her. We also notified the police, but they were late.”
