Karachi: In order to encourage more people to be vaccinated against the new coronavirus, the Sindh Ministry of Health announced that it will start vaccinating people who do not have a Computerized National ID Card (CNIC).
According to the Sindh Ministry of Health, people who do not have a CNIC must show Form B or educational documents to get vaccinated.
According to the published report dawn, The Chief Minister of Sindh Province, Murad Ali Shah, announced on July 30 that the government will administer COVID-19 injections to citizens who do not have CNICs, adding that it is reviewing methods for this purpose.
The report quoted the Health Department of Sindh as saying that more than 2,000 citizens of Karachi have been vaccinated against the coronavirus without having to show their CNIC.
Since the relevant data of all vaccinated citizens must be collected by the government, individuals without a CNIC must complete biometric identification and register a mobile phone number at the vaccination center to complete the process.
COVID-19 added 36 new patients in Sindh, infecting 1,847 people
As of Monday, as many as 36 patients have died from the coronavirus in Sindh, bringing the death toll to 6,057. At the same time, CM Murad Ali Shah said in a statement issued on Monday that there were 1,847 new cases when 13,107 tests were conducted in the province.
He added that so far, 5,039,917 tests have been performed and 387,145 cases have been confirmed, of which 86% or 333,102 patients have recovered and 325 of them recovered overnight.
