Lahore: The opposition leader of the National Assembly, Shahbaz Sharif, claimed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FIA) harassed him during an interrogation related to the investigation of the sugar scandal.

The allegations from the President of PML-N were filed at a hearing in the Lahore court, where he applied for bail to appear in court.

“The FIA’s investigation team treated me inappropriately. Officials used to have meaningless conversations. When I asked them why they did this, FIA officials kept laughing and making fun of me.”

Shahbaz told the court that he and his family had suffered losses of billions of rupees while operating the Ramzan sugar factory. “I am opposed to my family, offering goods to the masses cheaply.”

The leader of PML-N stated that he has responded to allegations of collecting commissions in the project.

You may remember that Shahbaz and his son Hamza Shahbaz’s interim bail period in the alleged financial scandal has been extended to August 2.

In response, the FIA ​​rejected Shahbaz’s allegations.

A spokesperson said that Shahbaz has no issues with harassment or misconduct. He received great respect and added that he did not answer these questions seriously.

“If you ask Shahbaz Sharif about the billions of rupees deposited in his account, he will answer that he has opened a metro bus and Orange Line train in Lahore. The spokesperson further stated that when they asked about the vehicles and property he owned, he would tell them to ask his children these questions.
