Karachi ushered in the first monsoon rain today.

Karachi: Karachi woke up on Monday after a short period of hot weather and ushered in the first monsoon shower.

Earlier, Sardar Safaraz, director of the Karachi Meteorological Bureau, told Geographic News that Karachi is expected to usher in the first monsoon rain from July 15 to 17.

The director of the Office of the Meteorological Bureau said that it is expected that there will be moderate rain next week. Karachi may receive approximately 10-22 mm of rain during the first stage.

According to meteorological experts, low winds hit the northwestern Bay of Bengal on July 11, and the humid winds of the monsoon season will enter Pakistan through Gujarat.

The Bureau of Meteorology said: “On July 12, the cloud cover in Tapaka and surrounding areas may drop.”

The Metropolitan Office has stated that Karachi may experience light rain on July 12 before the official start of the first monsoon.
