He regrets that this trend has discouraged professional butchers who slaughter animals throughout the year.

“I slaughter cows for 12,000 to 18,000 rupees, depending on their size, but you will find seasonal butchers for 8,000 rupees or even 7,000 rupees,” he said. “But they can never reach the skills of professionals.”
