According to SSP Korangi Shahjahan Khan, at 6 am on July 28, the dismembered body of a 6-year-old girl wrapped in a thick cushion was found in a garbage dump in Korangi, Karachi.

The preliminary medical report determined that the girl was raped and then murdered. According to the autopsy, her neck was broken.

SSP Khan said that at 9pm on July 27, the girl came out of her house to play during the power outage, but never came back. The family contacted the police around 12 in the morning.

The Zaman Town Police Station has registered the first information report (FIR) of the case involving kidnapping, murder and rape of unidentified suspects.

According to Zakir’s statement, the victim was alive and in a semi-comatose state after raping her. He said that she “jumped up and broke her neck suddenly”.

He said he threw the girl into the garbage dump, then went home and told his wife that he had been busy hitchhiking.

The police said the suspect bought a ticket to Multan and then went home to pick up his clothes. He called his wife and said he wanted to escape Karachi with the children.
