A reference to the mourning held for senior reporter Rajatarik

A mourning event was held at the Karachi Press Club on Saturday to pay tribute to Rajatarik, an experienced journalist who recently died of cardiac arrest in Karachi.

The former Daily Jang deputy chief reporter Raja Tariq died of heart failure in a hospital on Sunday night. He has served in the media industry for more than 40 years.

For the past seven years, he has been working as a senior reporter for a private news channel. In addition to the Secretary General of the Crime Journalists Association of Pakistan (CRAP), he is also a member of the Karachi Press Club and the Karachi Journalists Union.

KPC Chairman Fazil Jamili, Secretary Rizwan Bhatti, senior reporter and professor Tauseef Ahmed, Mehmood Shah, Anwar Sun Rai, Maqsood Yousufi, AH Khanzada, Imtiaz Khan Faran, CRAP Chairman Sameer Qureshi and others attended the event.

His widow and daughter also attended the condolences. The spokesperson and his family emphasized his role in the press, stating that the late journalist played a vital role in ratifying the CRAP constitution and took a number of measures for the welfare of criminal journalists. They said Tariq would be remembered forever.
