Covid killed 14 more people and infected 517 more

In the past 24 hours, another 14 people have died of Covid-19 in Sindh, and another 517 people have tested positive for the disease. The number of deaths due to viral coronavirus infection in the province has reached 5,358.
Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said in his daily health emergency report on Tuesday that 13,243 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, resulting in 517 people, namely 4% of those who were screened were diagnosed with Covid-19.
He added that so far, the provincial government has conducted 4,403,874 tests, resulting in 333,177 positive cases, which means that 8% of the people who have been screened have been found to be infected.
Shah said that after the recent deaths, the number of confirmed cases in Sindh who failed to fight Covid-19 was 2%. He said that 19,250 people are currently infected in the province: 18,611 people are self-isolating at home, 30 people are in isolation centers, 609 people are in hospitals, and 558 patients are in critical condition, 50 of whom need life support.
He added that in the past 24 hours, the number of recovered people has increased by 789, and the number of cured people has increased to 308,569, with a recovery rate of 92.6%.
