Since going viral in an interview at the PGA Championship, Brooks Koepka has received a lot of attention last month.

As he discussed at the “Sports Center” on Tuesday night, he enjoyed his time in the spotlight.

“I will definitely receive more text messages from some players in the NFL, NBA, and so on,” Koepka said. “These guys love it. It makes them more involved in golf and makes it more interesting for everyone.”

Koepka’s viral moment was triggered by his competitor, Bryson DeChambeau, who seemed to Say something to him loudly When he walked past Koepka’s interview.

“I really lost it,” Koepka said after De Chambeau passed by. “Sorry, I heard the bull-I lost my mind.”

This is nothing new for DeChambeau and Koepka. They are involved in a long-term discord, and this is only the latest chapter. Koepka doesn’t seem willing to end it anytime soon. In fact, he first accused De Chambeau of starting it.

“Nothing to say,” Koepka said of his sophistry. “Everything is happening-it all started because of him. So, I will put aside the pen. We will wait and see, but I don’t think we eat dinner or drink like Michelob Ultra just to solve this problem.”

As Koepka said earlier, this discord has given golf extra attention and is therefore a positive factor for the sport. His other golfers have obviously also succeeded in this dispute.

“There is some laughter,” Koepka said. “Some people said,’I can’t believe you did it, but I’m glad you did it.’ It’s funny. I got a good response from a group of people on the tour. From everyone on the tour. Me. Think this is something that everyone likes, and definitely (it) changed the game.”

How long will this grievance last? Koepka will not say. But now, compared to De Chambeau, he likes the progress of things, whether it is hatred or his performance.

“I enjoy it,” Koepka said. “I am definitely better than him.”

Recently, Koepka won a tie for fourth place in the 2021 US Open with a score of 2 under par. De Chambeau tied for the lead halfway through the final day of the game, but shot 8 over par on the last nine holes and tied for 26th with a 3 over par score.
