Bilawar responds to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s comments on rape

Islamabad: Bharat’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said in response to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s comments on rape on Tuesday that the clothes or the manner in which a woman wears is related to the sex she suffered. Violence has nothing to do.

Speaking to the media in Parliament, the chairman of the PPP stated that the Prime Minister’s remarks were “disappointing”. Bilawal called on people to stand with the victims of rape and sexual abuse.

“Such crimes should not be linked to a single cause […] A person’s clothing has nothing to do with rape or abuse,” he said.

The PPP leader is responding to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s comments a few days ago, in which he talked about the increase in cases of social violence in Pakistan.

In an interview with Johnathan Swan of Axios, Prime Minister Imran Khan once said: “If a woman wears very little clothes, it will affect men. […] Unless they are robots. I mean, this is common sense. “

“Yes, but does it really trigger sexual violence?” Swan asked.

“It depends on which society you live in,” Prime Minister Imran Khan replied. He added: “If people have not seen that kind of thing in a society, it will have an impact on them.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan is a “coward”

Bilawal studied the Prime Minister’s statement in depth, emphasizing that the laws should be the same for those convicted of sexual abuse and rape.

“Imran Khan said differently before and after coming to power […] He has been a coward from day one,” the PPP leader said.

He also mentioned the remarks made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi in an interview when he was asked to clarify whether he believed that the killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was martyr.

“Imran Khan is not ready to call the TTP militant Ehsanullah Ehsan involved in the APS attack a terrorist,” he said.

“Osama bin Laden tried to attack the then prime minister [Benazir Bhutto] Passed Ramsey Youssef in 1993,” he said, adding: “Isn’t Imran Khan aware that bin Laden tried to resist in the name of Islam in 1994? “

The PPP chairman wanted to know if the prime minister knew that bin Laden was involved in terrorist activities on a global scale.

“If bin Laden is not a terrorist, then who is?” he asked.

Bilawal said that bin Laden portrays people in Islam in a negative light. He said that Islam is a peaceful religion and urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to re-examine his policy.
