ECP issued a notice explaining the reasons to Imran Khan because it did not hold the PTI party election

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a notice of reasons to Imran Khan, Chairman of the Justice Movement of Pakistan (PTI), stating that it has not held party elections. Geographic News Reported on Thursday.
In addition to PTI, ECP also issued notices to two other political parties on the reasons for not holding party elections, including the banned Pakistan Labor Party (TLP) and Balochistan People’s Party (BAP).
According to the notice, its copy can be used with Geographic News, PTI Chairman Imran Khan failed to provide ECP details of the party election on June 13, 2021. According to the electoral law, all political parties must hold internal party elections on time.
The Election Commission has asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to respond to the notice of reason within 14 days and asked him to explain why PTI should not be declared ineligible for the election mark because no party elections were held.
“According to Article 215 (4) of the 2017 Election Law, you must explain why your political party may not be declared ineligible for the election logo for the upcoming election. Your response to this program-the reason notice should be 14 It will be served to the committee within days, otherwise the election committee will take further action in accordance with the law,” the notice read.
