- PPP and PML-N stated that they have filed a complaint with the AJK Election Committee.
- Sherry Rehman said that the central government’s PTI-led government bid to “steal” the election.
- “The strategy used in the Daska election is being repeated publicly,” said Marriyum Aurangzeb.
Opposition parties on Sunday criticized the PTI-led government for “manipulating” the ongoing elections for the Legislative Assembly in Jammu and Kashmir.
The police said before the vote ended at 5 pm that at least two people were killed in the clashes between Kotley’s parties and two others were injured and were receiving treatment in the hospital.
Senator Sherry Rehman, vice chairman of the PPP, accused the center of “systematic manipulation” and said it tried to “steal” the election.
The PPP leader claimed that PTI workers opened fire on PPP workers’ cars during the voting period, while the police uprooted a camp belonging to her party.

“The voter lists at several polling stations are clearly different […] PPP has submitted a written complaint to the AJK Election Committee,” she said.
PML-N complains about PTI’s “hooliganism” and “violation”
At the same time, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb claimed in a statement that PTI’s “mobs” attacked workers in her party’s Alipur Chatha district in Gujranwala in order to “manipulate” the election.
Aurangzeb said that although PTI staff assaulted her party members, the police had “arrested people associated with PML-N”. “PTI is allowed to engage in rogue activities in complete freedom,” she said.
The spokesperson said that AJK election committee officials refused to accept PML-N’s written complaint, stating that they would accept it after obtaining permission from the Chief Election Commissioner.
“Complaints about violence and manipulation do not meet the criteria for transparent elections,” she added.
Aurangzeb earlier drew attention to what she referred to as “violations” reported in different constituencies.
In a statement, she said: “There are more and more complaints about voting agents being prevented from entering and closing polling stations.”
She claimed that the joint committee’s Komi Kot girls’ primary school, Kangarhariwala, had stalled voting for two hours.
“Female voters were insulted,” she added, claiming that there were reports that, with the help of staff, the ballots in the polling station were stamped.
She further claimed that, except for PTI, no voting agents were allowed to enter LA-32 Chakar and LA-33 Goharabad.
“The strategies of the 2018 and Daska elections are being repeated publicly,” Marriyum said, adding: “If there is any unfavorable situation, Imran sahib will be responsible,” she said.
