Sheikh Rashid told the Chinese ambassador that nothing can destroy Pakistan-China relations

Islamabad: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said on Wednesday that nothing can destroy the tried-and-tested friendship between Pakistan and China.

Rashid is talking with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong, who visited him at his official residence to discuss issues of common concern between the two countries.

The ambassador praised Pakistan’s efforts to stop conspiracies aimed at disrupting diplomatic relations between the two countries. He also expressed satisfaction with the ongoing investigation related to the Dasu incident.

It should be remembered that on July 14, a bus carrying workers from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hydropower Project in the Upper Kochstan Dassault plunged into a gully “after a mechanical failure caused a gas leak and caused an explosion”.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese workers and accompanying Pakistani staff are “going to their workplaces for an ongoing project”. The accident caused 12 deaths, including 9 Chinese citizens.

Both parties agreed to complete the investigation as soon as possible.

During the meeting, the Chinese ambassador also conveyed Eid al-Fitr greetings to the Minister of the Interior and the Pakistani people.

In addition, issues of common concern between Pakistan and China are also under discussion.
