Regional emergency responder Dr. Nayyar Alam said that 25 people were killed in the bus accident.

Dr. Nayyar said there were 75 passengers on the bus. More than 60 people were injured in the accident. All the wounded have been transferred to the teaching hospital.

Rescue sources said that buses and trailers have been moved to the scene and traffic has resumed.

The Chief Minister of Punjab, Usman Buzdar, expressed regret for the loss of life in the Taunsa traffic accident.

He expressed sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims. CM in Punjab has issued instructions to provide the best medical facilities for the injured.

He said in a statement that at this moment of grief, he stood with the family of the deceased.
