- Maryam Nawaz warned PM Imran Khan not to manipulate the AJK election.
- She said that if the election is rigged, PML-N will retaliate.
- Mariam slammed the government for raising gasoline prices.
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said on Friday that PML-N will win the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections on July 25, given that there is no “fog” in July this year.
Maryam was referring to the report of the chairperson “missing due to fog” during the NA-75 Sialkot IV poll in February.
Maryam spoke at an election rally held in Barnala in AJK today, warning Prime Minister Imran Khan that if there is any manipulation during the election, he will have to face “huge losses.”
“All our opponents together cannot beat the audience in a PML-N rally.
“If it tries to manipulate the election, people will not let go of the party that won only two seats in the last election,” she said, referring to PTI’s performance in the 2016 poll.
Mariam said that Nawaz Sharif, the top leader of PML-N, was removed from the prime minister’s office through a “conspiracy,” but he is still the winner of the People’s Court today.
“To defeat Nawaz, you [resort to] Rigging elections,” she said, lashing out at the central government.
Speaking of economic issues, Mariam said that in Pakistan’s history, the price of gasoline has never reached 118 rupees, and also criticized the government for raising the price of ghee in public utility stores from 170 rupees to 260 rupees.
“Nawaz Sharif ended load shedding during his tenure,” Mariam said, while also criticizing the government for the widespread power crisis.
