President Alvi appoints Zahul Ahmed Aga as the new governor of Balochistan

Following the resignation of former Governor Amanullah Khan Yasinzai, President Arif Alvi appointed Zahoor Ahmed Agha on Wednesday He is the new governor of Balochistan.
The notice issued by President Alvi’s office stated that he had accepted Yasinzai’s resignation and appointed Aga to succeed him.
Earlier today, the former chief judge of the Balochistan High Court handed in his resignation to President Alvi.
Yasinzai was appointed governor of Balochistan by President Alvi in October 2018. In a letter, Prime Minister Imran Khan asked him to step down, after which the retired judge decided to resign.
In May of this year, the former governor refuted his controversial remarks against Imran Khan and stated that he did not talk to anyone, nor did he accept any TV channels or newspaper interviews.
“I respect Prime Minister Imran Khan from the bottom of my heart, and I don’t even dare to give [controversial] statement [about PM Khan],” Yasin Jae once said.
According to Geographic News, the prime minister wrote a letter to Yasin Jae in which he said he wanted to appoint someone else to replace him.
The Prime Minister wrote in the letter that he wanted to meet Yasinzai in person, but was unable to do so due to COVID-19.
“It’s an honor [working] Work with you to build a welfare state, especially to take care of the people of Balochistan,” the prime minister wrote in the letter.
“However, given the current political situation, dexterity and tact are needed at this time to take delicate and balanced actions while ensuring political tolerance and fulfilling our commitments to the Pakistani people.”
“In view of the above, I intend to appoint a new governor in Balochistan, and therefore ask you to resign.
“Of course, this will not adversely affect your ability or performance in any way. I think it’s just the changing political challenges currently facing Pakistan that need to be changed.
