The Ministry of the Interior has decided to register all foreigners living in the country and facilitate the return of all Pakistanis trapped at the Tolkham border.
On Thursday, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said in an interview with the media: “We have decided to register all foreigners in the country. Those holding fake Afghan visas have also been arrested. In the past In the past 70 years, about 40 to 50,000 people have lived in the country without a record, and now every foreigner will be registered.”
He said that an online visa service has been activated to ensure that visas are issued to applicants within 30 days and the case is forwarded to the Cabinet.
Rashid pointed out that there are more than 4,000 Pakistanis trapped at the Tolkham border and they want to go to Saudi Arabia or other Middle Eastern countries. He said he will talk to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) and other relevant authorities to assist them in returning to the country.
The minister said that people stranded at the border will be tested for rapid coronavirus, those who are declared negative will be brought back to the country, and the NCOC and border guards will determine those who are declared positive.
He also praised NCOC’s efforts in an effective strategy to combat the pandemic in Pakistan.
Sheikh Rashid said that the issue of the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan will be submitted to the cabinet this week.
Regarding one question, the minister said that PTI will win the general election of Azad Kashmir.
“Imran Khan will also win the country’s next general election, and we will further improve our performance,” he added.
The minister said that drugs are entering Pakistan from other countries and will take severe actions against those involved in drug trafficking activities.
He said that until New Delhi restores Jammu and Kashmir’s autonomous status, it is impossible to have dialogue with India.
