Another 14 people fell victim to Covid, and another 713 tested positive

In the past 24 hours (June 30), another 14 coronavirus patients died in Sindh, bringing the death toll in the province to 5,478. Chief Minister Said Murad Ali Shah expressed this in a statement issued on Thursday. He added that 14 more people died, with a death rate of 1.6%.
He said that a total of 13,935 samples were tested and 713 cases were found, with a detection rate of 5.1%. To date, Sindh has conducted 4,520,908 tests, of which 338,370 people have tested positive. Among them, 92.6% or 313,366 patients have recovered, of which 630 recovered overnight.
Currently, 19,526 patients are said to be receiving treatment. Among them, 18,845 were quarantined at home, 621 were in hospital, and 60 were in quarantine center. The Chief Minister said that 559 patients were reported to be in critical condition and 46 of them switched to ventilators.
According to the statement, of the 713 new cases, Karachi reported 541 cases. In interpreting the statistics of the districts, Shah said that 210 cases were reported in the Eastern District, 92 in the Korangi District, 86 in the Southern District, 77 in the Central District, 54 in the Mariel District and 25 in the Western District. Hyderabad Report 27, Sanghar 18, Shaheed Benazirabad 15, Jamshoro 14, Badin 11, Naushero Feroze 10, Matiari and Sukkur 9 each, Tharpakar, Thatta and Umerkot 6 each, Tando Allahyar 4, Dadu, Kashmore, Khairkarpur, One Larkana each. The governor of the province urged people to comply with the SOP issued by the government.
