You must obtain a vaccination certificate to use public transportation in Sindh

The Department of Transportation and Public Transport of Sindh Province announced that only vaccinated people can ride the province’s public buses.

In a statement issued by the department on Friday, Sindh Transport Minister Awais Qadir Shah stated that only vaccinated people can use public transportation. To this end, he said, passengers will check the vaccination certificate before getting on the bus.

The minister also ordered the inspection of vaccination certificates for inter-city and inter-provincial travelers to protect the province from Covid-19. The Shah urged transporters and public transport operators to comply with the guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the National Command and Operations Center, and only issue travel tickets to those travelers who present their vaccination certificates.

He warned that severe action will be taken against all government officials who do not follow these instructions.

Legislators and regional transport ministers and other departments have been ordered to monitor transport services, especially during Eid.
