Lahore: The culture of granting higher positions to junior officials/doctors working in medical institutions and hospitals is over.
The Department of Professional Healthcare and Medical Education (SHC&MED) issued an order stating that the cost of holding a higher position in the OPS without the approval of the appointing agency should be immediately cancelled/withdrawn. In a statement issued on Tuesday, SHC&MED Secretary Barrister Nabeel Awan stated that without the approval of the competent authority, no medical institution/hospital shall appoint any senior officer/officer in OPS in the future. He warned that if a junior doctor’s superior appointment order is issued without proper approval, the head of the agency will be held responsible.
