Brazilian Instagram influencer Julia Hennessy Cayuela, known for modeling and sharing her life, died on July 16th after a motorcycle accident. Hennessy and her husband Daniel crossed southern Brazil on a road trip, and then a truck changed lanes and hit her motorcycle. She was 22 years old that year.

Julia Hennessy’s husband, Daniel Kajula, was injured in the accident and was taken to a local hospital, while Hennessy was airlifted out because of his serious injuries. Cayuela underwent shoulder surgery, and Hennessy suffered a cardiac arrest and died shortly thereafter.

Cayuela was unaware of his wife’s death and was informed when he woke up from the operation. Julia Hennessy’s stepfather Jerônimo Onofre said:

“Daniel was shocked, cried a lot and didn’t believe what happened… We were sad, shocked, and very difficult times. We are suffering.”

Fans react to Julia Hennessy’s death

After the news came out, the family held a memorial service on July 17, and friends and family bid farewell to the influencer.

Her last post on Instagram was on July 16th before her death, showing Julia and her husband posing on the “capao bonito” sign wearing motorcycle gear. The title reads:

“Life is short and drives us crazy/me, you, God and the road! Your dream is also my @danielcayuela.”

Daniel Cayuela also shared the same photo on his Instagram, but his caption is:

“The first stop of capao bonito 800km round is always in the peace of Jesus! Tomorrow we will sleep peacefully in Pomerode.”

Many of Julia Hennessy’s fans commented on her latest post on Instagram, wishing and saying goodbye to this influencer. One user commented:

“Oh my god, my friend and I sent a message to her mother yesterday. Today is 00:00 because she hasn’t posted anything for more than 10 hours. We asked her if everything is normal.”

Another user said that the title was “creepy” before mentioning how much Hennessy had inspired them. “You are so passionate about life, so young and so mature, I can’t believe it,” another comment wrote.

Julia Hennessy’s post received more than 60,000 likes and more than 150 comments after her death. According to official sources, a Brazilian news organization pointed out that the fatal incident is under investigation.
