When Dilip Kumar praised Imran Khan as a “shining role model” for others

Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar died on Wednesday at the age of 98, allowing fans of the icon to mourn on both sides of the border.

Faisal Javed Khan of PTI also praised the actor. On the occasion of his death, he shared a video clip from decades ago, in which Kumar can be seen speaking at an event. He praised Imran Khan, who had been far away from politics before that, and was known as a cricket power on a global scale.

Dilip Kumar passed away at the age of 98

“With a heavy heart and deep grief, I announce the death of our beloved Dilip Sabo,” Faisal Farouki-a family friend-posted on the actor’s official Twitter on Wednesday.

The legendary actor was admitted to the Hindu Hospital in Mumbai after complaining of breathing difficulties-this was his second hospitalization in the same month.

Dilip Kumar has been in and out of the hospital for the past few years, suffering from a variety of health problems, from kidney disease to pneumonia.

Born in Peshawar (now Pakistan) on December 11, 1922, his original name was Muhammad Yusuf Khan. In 1944, he started his film career with “Jawal Bata”.

The versatile actor was supposed to be 99 years old in December, but his wife, Saira Banu, survived for 75 years.

The political, social and cultural circles of India and Pakistan expressed their condolences on the actor’s passing.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Kumar will be remembered as a “movie legend.”

Kumar’s real name is Yusuf Khan, and his outstanding performances in some of the most iconic and landmark films of Indian cinema have won people’s love, including Naya Daur, Mughal-e-Azam, Devdas, Ram Aur Shyam, Andaz, Deedar, Daagh, Azad and Jamuna Ganges.

Kumar’s brilliant career spanned decades. Beginning in the 1980s, he transitioned from playing the protagonist of romantic tragedies to role roles in films such as Kranti, Shakti, Karma, and Saudagar. “Kira” in 1998 was his last film.
