However, this year there will be no superstars again: Lakers star LeBron James is expected to miss this year’s Olympics with teammate Anthony Davis.

Will LeBron James participate in the Olympics?

According to reports, the NBA veteran will not participate in this year’s Summer Olympics.

James will become a star this summer-but on the screen, not on the court. After the Lakers were eliminated by the Suns in the first round of the playoffs, James used the post-game press conference to promote “Space Slam Dunk 2” and stated that he did not intend to return to the US basketball team Tokyo Men’s National Team:

The 36-year-old James faltered due to an ankle injury, which forced him to miss most of the 2020-21 season and play in the playoffs while still recovering from the injury. James said he plans to take a vacation in the summer to correct his ankle.

According to Joe Vardon of The Athletic, not only is James expected to miss this year’s Olympics, but also Lakers teammate Anthony Davis will not appear on the team.
