On Monday, two members of the notorious Afghan Corolla car gang were killed and another member was arrested on suspicion of meeting the police in Mariel.

Ferozabad SHO Aurangzaib Khattak said that when they signaled that the five suspects were roaming in a Corolla in Ferozabad, the police were busy with routine quick checks. The people in the car fired at the police and tried to escape.

The police pursued and continued to pursue the suspect in Sharea Faisal. An encounter occurred when the suspect turned around near Malir 15. Two of the suspects were injured, and the other suspect was arrested during the encounter. Their accomplices managed to escape under cover of fire.

SHO and another policeman, Momin, were also slightly injured in the encounter. The casualties were taken to the Jinnah Graduate Medical Center, where they were identified as Juma Khan and Naimat, and the injured were Mahmood.

The police claimed to have seized three pistols and bullets and a mini Kalashnikov rifle from the gang members. They also seized the car. The police stated that Khan was arrested earlier in 2017 on charges of cheapness in Ferozabad. They said the suspect belonged to an Afghan gang.

Man killed over 5,000 rupees

In a shooting incident in Korangi district due to a money dispute, a man was killed and a little boy was injured.

The People’s Colony police stated that Azad Khan’s son, 30-year-old Feida Mohammed, had a quarrel with another man over a dispute of 5,000 rupees. In the heated argument, another man shot and wounded Fida and an underage boy. The wounded were taken to the Jinnah Graduate Medical Center, where Fida died of his injuries, while Qasim’s son Akbar, 12, is still receiving treatment.
