New Delhi: Twitter is rolling out its Chirp font to Twitter apps and feeds to transform the Weibo platform’s website and apps. The company named the newly launched font “Chirp”. The new changes coming into effect on social media sites are part of a broader brand strategy first announced in January.
In a series of tweets, Twitter confirmed these changes. In the first tweet, the Weibo platform asked: “What happened to our font?” The company confirmed that the font has indeed been changed when replying to the tweet. Through these tweets, the social media giant’s goal is to hype around the font changes.

“Today, we made some changes to the way Twitter is displayed on the web and on mobile phones. Although it may feel strange at first, these updates make us more accessible, more unique, and focus on you and what you are talking about. ,” the company wrote on the platform on Wednesday.
“In January, we released our new font Chirp-available today,” it added. In addition, Twitter has now made new changes to its website, where all Western text is now aligned to the left. It is expected that this change will make it easier for readers of Western language texts to scroll through the feed. The fonts of non-Western languages will remain unchanged. In the past few months, Twitter has been making some changes to its Weibo platform. The platform led by Jack Dorsey recently decided to close its “fleet” feature similar to Instagram stories. According to a report from IANS, the fleet is disappearing from the tweets lined up at the top of the user’s Twitter handle on the smartphone, and these tweets expire after 24 hours.
