TikTok’s much-awaited in-app shopping feature is now beginning to roll out for its users in the United States.
The new update allows users to shop directly in the app without being directed to any other platform. The feature has already been launched in the UK and Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia, where it has been received well.
The company has been focusing on the e-commerce side lately. “With millions of loyal users globally, we believe TikTok is an ideal platform to deliver a brand new and better e-commerce experience to our users,” one of the job listings reads.
TikTok did introduce similar shopping features, such as a Shopify shopping tab for live shopping features for users in the US.
However, the growth was very slow. TikTok is now entirely focusing on making it a success in the US as it is also recruiting new employees to cater to this specific sector.
