Throwing a grenade at N Waziristan Girls’ School during the 12th grade exam

Police said on Monday that during the 12-class exam, a grenade was thrown at a girls’ school in North Waziristan.
The law enforcement agency stated that there were no reports of casualties. After the attack, police officers arrived at the scene and began an investigation.
Talk to Geographic News, DPO North Waziristan Shafiullah Gandapur said that unidentified extremists threw grenades at an empty security post above a government school in Heidelker to cause panic.
“This is an attempt to disrupt the security situation in the area [….] The investigation into the attack is ongoing and no one is allowed to disturb the peace here,” he said.
The DPO stated that he hopes to get “results” as soon as possible.
Haider Khel tribe chief Malik Gul Saleh Jan said that Haider Khel Government Girls’ High School is the only girls’ high school in Mirali Tehsil where girls come from all over the world to receive education.
“The explosion shows that girls should not be educated here,” he added.
