Conor McGregor After his post-match antics caused controversy, the defeat of UFC 264 sent the MMA world into madness.
After losing to Poirier for the second time this year, McGregor repeatedly yelled that this was the doctor’s stoppage, and his competition with “diamonds” was not over yet.
Conor McGregor threatened to kill Dustin and Jolie Poirier “in his sleep” and pointed a gun at his head:

UFC Chairmen Dana White and Dustin Poirier also expressed the same views on this game, implying that there will be a fourth game sometime in the future.
At the same time, former UFC referee John McCarthy expressed his views on the game on his podcast. He says:
“I will tell you what it needs. I like boxers to tell people what the suspension is, because it’s really not a doctor’s suspension. When his ankle is injured, or his leg, whatever happens, that game is It’s over, it’s okay. You don’t need the doctor to say. McCarthy was referring to Connor McGregor’s antics after the game and said McGregor could not continue.
There is speculation how this battle would go if Connor McGregor hadn’t Injured, But before the terrible injury, he lost the round convincingly.

John McCarthy says Connor McGregor’s ankle fractured after an examination by Poriye
John McCarthy then talked about Connor’s injury, suggesting that one of the calf kicks checked by Dustin Bolier caused the leg to break. He says:
“That’s the way it is, and I do believe that if you go back and see that is one of the checks, because if you look, when Connor takes a step before buckling the buckle, you will see his calf and ankle buckle. ….. Then he took a step back and it folded up.”
