Dubai: The world’s deepest underwater diving pool has been opened in Dubai, where people can dive 60 meters (197 feet) to a city-themed sunken landscape and play arcade games.
Dubai is a tourist and commercial center with desert terrain and months of hot summer temperatures. It is known for gorgeous and record-breaking attractions such as snow-covered indoor ski resorts, large water parks and the tallest buildings in the world.
The swimming pool is equivalent to six Olympic swimming pools and has been certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the deepest diving pool in the world. Deep Dive Dubai says it is 15 meters deeper than any other place.
The company said that the shape of the facility resembles the pearl diving heritage of the UAE, shaped like an oyster, and is the largest underwater film studio in the region.
The diver walked down the landscape of the sunken city, with sounds and lights. There are two drying rooms filled with air on the way down the mountain.
Visitors can practice scuba diving-with a tank of air-and free diving-divers only need to hold their breath.
