For safety reasons, the Sindh provincial government has banned the use of drone cameras on Muharram 8, 9 and 10 in the province.

According to the notice issued by the Ministry of Interior of Sindh Province, the province banned the use of propellers on the 8th, 9th and 10th of Muharram, while SHO obtained special powers for violations under Article 144.

The notice states that although the provincial government is satisfied with the security arrangements that have been implemented, it is ensuring that strict measures are taken to ensure the safety of the parade and parliament.

The ban has been implemented in response to reports from IG Sindh Mushtaq Mahar and other relevant authorities.

Earlier this month, the Ministry of Interior of Sindh Province had notified Karachi to ban back seat riding for three days.

According to the notice issued by the department, on the 8th, 9th and 10th of Muharram, the port city will continue to ban back seat riding.

“In the continuation and partial modification of the even-numbered notice issued by the department on July 28, 2021, the rear seat riding ban for the Karachi branch shall be 8th, 9th and 10th Muharram-Ul-Harram 1443 AH (2021),” Read the notice.
