New Delhi: In order to make it easier for users to access the platform’s tools and functions, social media giant Facebook has redesigned its settings page. “Whether it’s managing the ads that people see, adjusting sharing settings, or managing the audience of posts, people don’t have to think about where to start. That’s why we reduced the number of categories and renamed them to better fit people’s mental models. ,” Facebook wrote in an official blog post.
Mashable India reported that the Facebook settings page is now divided into six categories, “Each category allows access to a set of related settings.” The categories are-account, preferences, audience and visibility, permissions, your information, and community standards And legal policies.
Facebook has also repositioned several autonomous settings so that they coexist with related settings. For example, News Feed settings that used to have a smaller category will now be listed under “Preferences” and grouped with similar settings.
