The Saudi military leadership fully supports Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace: ISPR

Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday that as the regional security situation develops, Saudi Arabia’s military leadership has expressed its full support for Pakistan’s efforts for peace in the region.
The development took place during a meeting between the Chief of Staff of the Army (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and a high-level military delegation led by the Chief of Staff of Saudi Arabia (CGS) General Fayyadh Bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili at the Military Media Department Headquarters. Said in a statement.
The statement said that during the meeting, discussions were held on issues of common concern such as Afghanistan’s geostrategic environment, security situation, and bilateral defense cooperation and training exchange plans.
According to the military media, this important person recognized the achievements of the Pakistani army in the war on terrorism and its contribution to regional peace and stability.
“Saudi CGS thanked the Pakistani army for its continuous assistance in training the Saudi armed forces and expressed his desire to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation,” it said.
ISPR added that when arriving at GHQ earlier, General Fayyadh Bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili laid a wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, and a savvy task force of the Pakistan Army issued a guard of honor to the visiting guests.
At the time of the meeting, the Taliban took over Afghanistan after a lightning raid. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia urged them to protect lives, property and safety in accordance with the “Islamic Principles.”
