The glass door of the Expo Center broke, security personnel were injured, and people were eager to get vaccinated

After the Sindh provincial government and the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) issued a warning, people scrambled to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, followed by chaos in the Karachi Expo Center.

The Expo Center-the largest vaccination center in Sindh Province-was quickly overcrowded. Amid the hustle and bustle, a glass door was broken and a security guard was injured.

However, vaccination continued to be interrupted.

After the Sindh provincial government formally requested NCOC last week to approve the blocking of mobile SIM cards and social media accounts of unvaccinated users, this craze is witnessed today.

Following the letter from Xinde, NCOC set a deadline of August 31 on July 29, requiring departments dealing with the public to vaccinate their employees.

NCOC stated that students, teachers, transport personnel, government employees, hotel and wedding hall staff, and law enforcement agency personnel over the age of 18 must be vaccinated by the end of next month.

On July 29, hundreds of people lined up outside the vaccination center in Karachi, and the threat seemed to have worked.

At the same time, Federal Minister of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Assad Omar said today that the country has recorded another vaccination record. The total number of vaccinations yesterday exceeded 900,000 for the first time.

The federal minister stated that 2,600 vaccination centers and 2,979 mobile units are operating across Pakistan “to make this large-scale campaign possible.”
