The five-star DE JT Tuimoloau made a university promise: who did he choose?

JT Tuimoloau was the last five-star recruit to make a decision in 2021. He announced on Sunday that he will use his talents as a university student.

Tuimoloau said on CBS Sports HQ that he will join Ohio State University to join a recruitment class Ranked 2nd in the 247Sports Team recruitment ranking.

The defensive end is 3rd 247Sports Comprehensive Ranking; 247Sports ranks him as the No. 1 overall ranking, Rivals ranked him 6th, and ESPN ranked him 4th. He is the last member to announce the decision in the 247Sports Top 100.

“Go, Buckeye, we’ll be out soon,” Tumoro said when he made the decision.

Tuimoloau is the second top five recruit and the third top ten recruit of the 2021 Buckeyes. He joined the defensive end Jack Sawyer (No. 4), providing the Buckeyes with two of the top three defensive line recruits, and wide receiver Emeka Egbuka (No. 9).

According to the overall ranking of 247Sports, the Buckeyes now have five five-star recruits, with running back TreVeyon Henderson (22nd) and quarterback Kyle McCord (27th) in the bottom. Only Alabama has more five-star recruits, with seven.
