The police have registered a case of the murder of the brother of MPA Asad Khokhar, Punjab, who was shot and killed at the wedding of his son in Lahore.
The case was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by the deceased’s nephew at the Defense C Police Station. Nazim, assistant, Omar Hayat and three other unidentified men have been nominated to participate in the case.
The first information report (FIR) reads that when Nizam shot and killed Mubashir Khohar, the wedding was in progress.
The autopsy of Mubashir Khokhar’s body was carried out late on Friday night. The cause of death was declared a head injury. The body was later transferred to a morgue in a private hospital.
On Friday, Kohar was shot and killed at his son’s wedding.
According to the police, when a man opened fire at the wedding, Malik Mubashir Khokhar aka Goga and another person named Umar Mazhar were injured.
The police said the injured were taken to the hospital where the lawmaker’s brother died of a gunshot wound, adding that the attacker Nazem, a resident of Faisalabad Manawara, had been detained.
