The America’s Cup is the premier football match for the South American national team, controlled by CONMEBOL.
The tournament was established in 1916 and is the oldest international football tournament still in progress.

This happened to be the third time in a row that Argentina lost the finals in many years, and prompted the apparently frustrated Lionel Messi to announce his notorious international retirement.
Chile also won the runner-up four times in 1955, 1956, 1979 and 1987.

Paraguay occupies a unique position in South American football. They are not big enough to continuously challenge the Big Three, but historically, they are better than other competitors.
Therefore, it is not surprising that they became the fourth most successful team in the history of the America’s Cup.
