Lahore: The additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, a police officer in the capital, stated that the police station is the basic unit of the police station and the only source of law and order and justice for citizens.
According to the vision of IGP Inam Ghani, all necessary measures and resources are being taken to bring positive and public-friendly changes to the Tana culture to improve these basic units.
He said this during a surprise visit to different police stations here on Wednesday. CCPO visited PS Iqbal Town, Gulshan Ravi, PS Rang Mahal, Mochi Gate and Gawalmandi police stations, and inspected the front desks, report and record rooms, detention centers and other parts of these police stations. He listened to citizens’ complaints during the visit and issued an order to correct them immediately. CCPO appreciates the performance of SHO Rang Mahal, SHO Gawalmandi and SHO Mochi Gate in the front desk for better record management and timely processing of applications. He instructs police officers to use the latest technology and skills to respond to new trends in crime through citizen-centric smart policing.
