Terrorism is on the rise again in Pakistan: Mariam Nawaz

Must Read

She said at a rally in the city of Muzaffarabad in Jammu and Kashmir in Azad: “In its 70-year history, the country has never witnessed the decline of the past three years.”

Maryam launched the party’s campaign for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections in the region on July 25.

After the government recently revealed to the nation that the bombing in the town of Jowhar in Lahore last month was carried out by a person associated with India’s RAW intelligence agency, she mentioned that terrorist activities are on the rise.

Mariam sneered at the PTI-led government, especially Prime Minister Imran Khan, calling him a “disaster” that has been “imposed on Pakistan” for the past three years.

She said that the prime minister “handed over Kashmir to India.”

The Vice President of PML-N accused the Prime Minister of coming to power with stolen votes, and a similar attempt was made in Daska’s polls. The competition was finally won by PML-N.

Mariam also said that this time, if someone tries to steal the election, the party will not stand idly by.

Chattar Klas address
Earlier in the day, she published an address in the village of Chattar Klas.

At the beginning, the PML-N leader tried to remind the assembly that she was from Kashmiri, and Kashmiri blood was flowing in her veins.

She said Pakistan stands with Kashmiris on both sides of the disagreement.

The Vice President of PML-N stated that the “son of Kashmir” Mohammad Nawaz Sharif (the supreme leader of the party) will “fight every battle” for Kashmiris.

“He will fight for your rights, he will fight for your independence, and he will ensure that victory falls into your circle,” she said.

Mariam went on to mention a video in which someone threatened to “smash” her. She said her father called her to express concerns about her safety, but at the same time she said she should go to Kashmir. “You don’t have to be afraid of Kashmiris.”

She said that she wanted to pay tribute to AJK Prime Minister Raja Farukheidr and all the workers of PML-N. Although they tried to “steal the election”, they “tall like a mountain”.

Rejecting her impression from the government that PML-N is working hard to find candidates, she said that the party has received at least 10 and as many as 20 applications from each region.

When talking about the two PML-N members who reportedly quit and formed an alliance with the government, she said that if the government is so confident that they have a large number of candidates for the election, “Why do you think it is necessary to let the two of us?”

Maryam also paid tribute to Raja Abdul Qayyum. Although he lost the ticket to Raja Ibrar Hussain this time, he continued to support the party and its cause. “It shows us his mind,” she said.

“That’s why I started my campaign from his home,” added the vice president of PML-N.

She said that today’s main rally will be held in Muzaffarabad, where she “has a lot of important things to talk about.”

“Of course I will talk about Kashmir-that’s why I am here-but I will also talk about the person who stole your votes and deprived you of wheat, sugar, electricity and medicine, what you have to ask him, What you must ask Imran Khan.”

She said she would clarify why the Indian Prime Minister came to Pakistan when Nawaz Sharif was prime minister, and why the Indian government dared to change the status of Kashmir when Imran Khan “stole your vote and came to power.”

“Are 220 million people looking for you for this? Ask you to barter from Kashmir, and then you come back and say something similar?” She asked the Prime Minister.

She said that Indian Prime Minister Imran Khan “can only shed tears because the Indian Prime Minister did not receive his call, or the US President did not send him an invitation to visit.”

Mariam asked what happened to the government’s plan to observe a two-minute silence for occupied Kashmir every week, because India illegally deprived the region of its autonomy status, and India continued to besiege the region.

“You can’t see the two minutes of silence anywhere, on the contrary, you have remained silent on this issue ever since,” she told the prime minister.

She said to those who wanted to “steal elections”: “Listen! Muslim League noon is not the Muslim League noon of the past. Muslim League noon now knows how to pry every stolen seat out of your hands.”

She reminded people to pay attention to the Daska by-election. She said that every member of the party staff now knows “how to stop vote stealing.”

“The people who stole the election in 2018 will still need to use this strategy three years later,” Mariam said.

Continuing to talk about the Gilgit-Baltistan election, in which 7 party members appeared as traitors, she said that “even though they had the right to vote and won horses, they all lost”.

She said that in the UK, people have to fight against gentlemen like Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman, “but here you have a person like Raja Farooq Haider”.

“If you steal this election, please keep this in mind. Raja Farooq Haider and PML-N AJK and Maryam Nawaz will hunt you down to the end.”

She said that AJK PM “is not an easy person to beat.”

Maryam promised that if Raja Farooq Haider protests against Shahrah-e-Dastoor, he will support him.

Finally, she sought assurances from the rally to protect their votes and “drive away any ballot thieves.”
