Teenage boys were among the four injured in three shootings in the city

According to the police, seven people were injured in different areas of Karachi on Sunday. Four of them received gunshot wounds and three were stabbed.

An Aziz Bhatti police officer said that 16-year-old Sheharyar Asif Jamil and 20-year-old Sameerullah Asadullah were standing outside their house in Gulshan-e-Iqbal when two men on motorcycles tried to rob their mobile phones.

The official said they were shot dead for resisting attempts to rob them, adding that they were taken to the Jinnah Graduate Medical Center (JPMC). According to an official from the Sukhan Police Department, in another incident, 35-year-old Akhtar Sharif was shot dead in Bhains Colony. The official said he was taken to JPMC.

Aftab Ashraf, 50, was shot dead in Mehmudabad. The police said he was taken to JPMC and added that his brother shot him and fled because of a family dispute. A police officer in Jamshed Quarters said that in the conflict between the two groups, two people were stabbed and added that the injured had been sent to JPMC.

The terminal police officer said that the 33-year-old Mumtaz Akbar was stabbed during a clash in Machhar Colony and added that the injured were taken to the Dr Ruth KM Pfau Civilian Hospital in Karachi.
