Lahore: A man was arrested by intelligence agencies for his involvement in the bombing of Jowhar town in Lahore. The explosion killed 3 people and injured at least 24 others.
According to the police, the man was flying to Karachi but was asked to get off the plane a few minutes before takeoff. The suspect has been moved to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
On the other hand, the car used for the bomb explosion has also been confirmed by the police. It turned out that this was a stolen car that was stolen in 2010. The first information report (FIR) related to the theft of the vehicle has been registered at a police station in Gujranwala.
According to the source, the police further revealed that a car carrying explosives may have entered Lahore via the highway. When the vehicle was searched in the city, no explosives were found at that time.
The source said that an investigation into when the explosives were loaded onto the vehicle is ongoing.
3 dead and 24 injured
An explosion occurred in a house in the Jowhar town area of Lahore, killing three people and injuring at least 24 others.
Witnesses said that the glass windows of nearby houses and buildings had been shattered. One of the buildings was severely damaged, and some vehicles parked at the explosion site were also affected.
Hospital officials said that nearly 20 people were injured and transferred to Jinnah Hospital in Lahore via private cars and auto rickshaws.
The explosion is loud and can be heard from far away. However, the nature of the explosion has not yet been determined. An eyewitness told Geographic News that an unidentified person parked a motorcycle near the house and then exploded.
The police have cordoned off the area for further investigation and traffic has been diverted.
Explosive targeting high-value targets
Inam Ghani, the inspector general of Punjab province, said that the police had been the target of the attack. He advised people not to listen to rumors related to the explosion.

When asked about high-value targets near the crime scene, Ghani said that if there were no police posts, vehicles might arrive.
“You should thank the police,” he said.
However, he did not share any other information about high-value targets in the region.
