Soon, WhatsApp messages may disappear after 90 days: Learn more about new features | Technology News

New Delhi: WhatsApp is developing a series of features that will change our messaging experience on social media platforms. In such an attempt, Facebook’s social media platform is currently testing a feature that will automatically delete messages after 90 days.

WhatsApp recently introduced a disappearing message feature, which can automatically delete conversations older than 7 days. The messaging platform now seems to try to give users more time before the chat is automatically deleted from the server.

According to GizmoChina reports, previously, it is said that WhatsApp is also developing a check-once message, which will disappear forever after being checked once. This feature is likely to be similar to the most recently viewed photo or video feature, which automatically deletes media files after the recipient views it once.

However, the report added that in the latest Beta version, version 2.21.17.16 of Android, WhatsApp now adds a 90-day message disappearing function, which will also delete messages after about three months.

WaBetaInfo also shared screenshots of the upcoming feature, which allows users to customize the time period of “disappearing messages”. According to reports, users will be able to choose a time period of 90 days, 7 days or 24 hours, providing more flexibility and options. Users can also turn off this feature completely so that the mail will not be deleted by themselves. However, it is still difficult to judge when WhatsApp will launch the 90-day disappearing message option. Currently, this feature is available in the Beta version, and WhatsApp may not even activate this feature.
